Contract role - Administrator for the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion Enterprise applications for all sites globally - dealing with metadata and rule changes, application updates, security amendments, infrastructure and application support issues. Involved in the full project life-cycle to implement HFM 9.3.1.Involved in the development of Smart View and Hyperion Retrieve spreadsheets (inc. VBA macros) and Hyperion Financial Reporting reports.

SAP Scheduling Analyst/Team Lead

Permanent role. Batch scheduling analyst/team lead within a Service Delivery department providing analysis, support and development of the CONTROL M application used with SAP.Involved in creation of new batch jobs in SAP and setting up their scheduling using the CONTROL M tool. Provided helpdesk and out of hours standby support for both SAP batch jobs and CONTROL M. Also involved in technical maintenance, regression testing, SOX testing and procedural documentation of both systems. Responsible for two other team members.

Hyperion Enterprise Analyst

Contract role. Member of a project team implementing a new Hyperion Enterprise application to incorporate US GAAP accounting standards. Mainly involved on the data migration, testing and reconciliation side. Used MS Excel formulas and VBA macros to import and check complex financial data and accuracy of logic formulas. Also carried out some regular Hyperion Enterprise system administration tasks. Responsible for one other team member.

Intranet Project Co-ordinator

Contract role Responsible for the migration and quality control of approximately 60 Intranet sites from a FrontPage based system to a custom Vignette application. Some HTML bug fixing was required. Responsible for two other team members.

Contract role. Provided global support for the bank’s Hyperion Enterprise application. Worked in a system development team dealing with first-line support issues and assigning change requests to the relevant member of the team. Involved heavily in the quarterly rollout of application updates. Carried out regression testing using MS Excel formulas and VBA macros and organised user acceptance testing.

Contract role. Assignment to complete the programming, implementation and system testing of a bespoke Visual BASIC front end for Hyperion Enterprise used to input financial data. Organised and supported the global distribution and installation of the new front end. Also had to perform some regular system administration tasks on Enterprise.

User acceptance testing was also within the remit. Client: Prudential (3 month secondment)Assisted the Finance Department in the conversion of their Hyperion Enterprise application to incorporate US GAAP standards. Created and tested a suite of Excel spreadsheets to be used by end users to export and import financial data to/from the Enterprise application. Complex Excel formula and VBA programming was required.
